The Westminster Standards

The Westminster Standards is the collective name for the documents drawn up by the Westminster Assembly (1643–1649). These include the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Shorter Catechism, the Westminster Larger Catechism, and others.

The standards represent the doctrine and church polity of 17th century English and Scottish Presbyterianism. The Westminster Confession of Faith and Larger and Shorter Catechism have been adopted as doctrinal standards by a number of Reformed and Presbyterian Christian denominations.

The three documents are available for download. They also may be viewed at:

Lessons in Salvation

These downloadable Bible lessons are used by PDM to minister to men and women in recovery houses, jails, and prisons. The lessons are written for inmates, who often have little knowledge of the Bible. They are being updated to include a hand-out for students and a corresponding page for instructors with notes and suggestions. The lessons have a simple format and examine critical Biblical concepts. They include questions to help apply teaching.

Lessons in Salvation is a basic introduction to the Gospel. The lessons explain what the Gospel is, why we need it, and how we receive it.

Lessons in Luke expands on the message of the Gospel. The lessons examine 10 incidents in the ministry of Jesus that demonstrate how he came to lift up people who are broken and to bring down the proud. There are additional Lessons in Life and Lessons in Proverbs.
