Bible Lesson Downloads-Lessons in Salvation

NOTE: These downloadable Bible lessons were written by PDM director and evangelist Fred Sloan. Originally written to be used for the Faith Based Re-Entry program at the State Farm Correction Center in Powhatan, PDM also is using them in ministering to men and women in recovery houses, and they may be used in other ministry settings, too.

These lessons are written for inmates, who often have little knowledge of the Bible. The lessons have a simple format and examine critical concepts from passages in the Bible. They include questions to help apply Biblical teaching to one’s own life.

The first set of lessons, ‘Lessons in Salvation,’ is a basic introduction to the Gospel. The lessons explain what the Gospel is, why we need it, and how we receive it.

The second set of lessons, ‘Lessons in Luke,’ expands on the message of the Gospel. The lessons examine 10 incidents in the ministry of Jesus that demonstrate how he came to lift up people who are broken and to bring down the proud.
